Ferris-Goodridge American Legion Post #330 Earns Red Cross Recognition

Sets Collection Goal to Mark 10 Years as Donor Site
Ferris-Goodridge American Legion Post #330 in Spencerport has been recognized by the American Red Cross for its ongoing commitment to blood donation efforts. The post recently received a Certificate of Recognition for collecting 99 units of blood during 2025.
In addition, Post #330 has been named a Premier Partner of the Red Cross, in recognition of its many years hosting successful blood drives and supporting lifesaving initiatives in the community.
In 2026, the post marked the beginning of its ninth year as a blood donation site. At their most recent drive in March, 40 units of blood were collected, bringing the total to approximately 850 units over the past eight-plus years.
A major milestone is ahead in 2027, when the post will celebrate its 10th anniversary as a donor facility. The post has set a goal of collecting 150 more units of blood between now and next year, to bring its total to 1,000 units. Since each donation can help up to three people, this milestone would mean that donations collected at the post could potentially have impacted as many as 3,000 individuals—including adults, children, and infants.
Two more blood drives are scheduled for 2026, on June 24 and October 28. Community members are encouraged to participate and help the post move closer to its goal. Appointments can be made online at redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Post #330 extends its sincere thanks to all donors and supporters who continue to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
