Greece Chamber Names Sarah E. Lentini as New President and CEO

The Greece Chamber of Commerce, the largest suburban Chamber in Monroe County, today announced that Sarah E. Lentini has been named the organization’s new President and CEO. The selection was made by the Greece Chamber’s Board of Directors after a local, regional and national search was conducted. Ms. Lentini’s resume includes over thirteen years of experience serving as President and CEO of a non-profit membership association, the Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester, where she led and managed all operations, including membership and member services, finance, human resources, strategic planning, program administration, and communications and public relations, as well as overseeing their long-standing health insurance program which provided hundreds of Council members with affordable medical/dental plans.

“We are excited to have Sarah join the Greece Chamber of Commerce as its next President and CEO,” said Delbert J. Smith, Greece Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board. “She brings a wealth of experience to us and we are looking forward to having her lead the organization in its mission in supporting Greece businesses and other community stakeholders in the town of Greece as well as to work with local government on important local issues”.

Lentini’s resume includes over 20 years of economic and community development experience in both the non-profit and private sectors. She brings to the Greece Chamber of Commerce definitive and distinguished leadership skills, and experience in economic development and building and enhancing business and community relationships. Her prior roles include serving as Director of Planning and Development and Director of Housing and Community Initiatives for United Way of Greater Rochester; Senior Program Analyst for the Department of Planning and Economic Development, Monroe County; and Senior Community Housing Planner for the Department of Community Development, City of Rochester. She previously co-chaired the Tourism and Arts Workgroup of the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council and chaired its metric subcommittee. Ms. Lentini served as advisor to the County/City-led Renaissance Square Project, served on Transition Teams for Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks and Mayor Robert Duffy, and partnered with Greater Rochester Visitors Association and Genesee Brewery on the Coldrush tourism promotion and Horses on Parade public art project, respectively. Over the course of her career she has served on numerous boards and commissions including the board of the Rochester Riverside Convention Center and the Private Industry Council.

Sarah Lentini holds a B.A. in English from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec; speaks two foreign languages, Italian and French; received the Friends of School of the Arts Community Impact Award in 2007; and was named Woman of the Year (The Arts) by the Italian American Community Center in 2006.
