On October 17, 2017, the Town of Greece dedicated Badgerow Park North to the great Veterans of our nation.
Town Board members were joined by Greece American Legion Post #468 Commander Mark Ostrander, the Color Guard, Greece Officials, and many members of the Greece Legion Post #468 for a special ceremony where an official ribbon cutting ceremony was held for this newly named park. The new sign was also unveiled.
Badgerow Park South will retain its original name.
The Badgerow Family is pleased with the naming of Veteran’s Memorial Park. Many in the community may not be aware, but George Badgerow was a member of the US Army and a 62-year member of the Legion Post. His story and so many of the stories from the great men and women who have served our country are being recognized in a small way today by re-naming this park in their honor.
