First African-American Female Greece Police Officer Sworn In

Greece Police Chief Patrick Phelan with Recruit Officer Tiffani Gatson.

Tiffani Gatson, Greece’s first female African-American Police Officer, graduated from Wilson High School with an interest in having a career in law enforcement. In 2015 she graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in criminal justice.

Gatson began as a Monroe County Sheriff deputy working in the jail. Greece Police hired Gatson on September 24, 2018, she was sworn in during a Greece Town Board Meeting in October. She is currently in the process of completing her training at the police academy.
