On August 14th, the Lakeview Garden Club of Greece gathered at Bergen Water Gardens for a tour of their 16 acres of gardens and greenhouses. Bergen Water Gardens, located at 7443 Buffalo Road in Churchville, features a wide variety of Lotus, Orchids, Waterlilies, Carnivorous Plants, Pottery and everything needed for ponds including Koi and Pond fish.
The tour, for approximately 25 garden club members and guests, was conducted by Larry Nau, owner of the gardens. Nau shared a wealth of information on water gardens and the science and history of water pond plants. The timing was perfect for the visit since the lotus were at the peak of their blooms.
