Top-seeded Greece Athena defeated Canandaigua 73-54 to win the Section V Class AA2 boys basketball title on March 8 at Blue Cross Arena. I’Zick Reaves scored 23 points and was named the American Rock Salt Tournament MVP. Fellow Trojans joining Reaves on the Class AA2 All-Tournament Team were Russell Ellis, Na’Sean Fowlks, and Dominic Lamar. The victory has been a long time in the making for Michael Setzer, who is in his ninth year coaching the team. His Trojans have previously fallen just short of the title, finishing second in five of the past eight seasons.
