Cosmetology student named Outstanding Senior

Career and Technical Education student Nina Tomlinson was named the 2025 Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES recipient of the Dr. Michael C. O’Laughlin Outstanding Senior Award. She was presented with the honor at a recognition dinner held May 7 at BOCES 2.
A Cosmetology student from the Greece Central School District, Tomlinson was selected for this distinguished award based on her scholarship, leadership, service and character. One senior from each high school and BOCES in Monroe County is chosen annually for this honor, which is presented by the Monroe County Council of School Superintendents.
The award is named in memory of Dr. O’Laughlin, a respected educator who served as BOCES 2 district superintendent from 2007 until his passing in 2009. In 2012, the award was renamed in his honor to recognize his decades of service to education and his deep commitment to students across the region.
