Lakeview Community Church, 30 Long Pond Road (near Edgemere Drive), supports the Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf every month. However, August is a special month in that a goal is set. This year the goal was to collect 1,200 cans of baked beans. Not only was the challenge met, but it was well exceeded. A total of 2,012 cans were donated. Thanks to the church members, family members, friends, co-workers, and lakeshore neighbors for their support in making the August Challenge a success.
