The Marshall Tucker Band to Headline

2026 Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration

Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich recently announced that The Marshall Tucker Band will be the headline act for the 2026 Town of Greece Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration.

Noted for incorporating blues, country, rock, and jazz into an eclectic sound, The Marshall Tucker Band helped establish the Southern rock genre in the early 1970s with major hits including “Heard It in a Long Song,” “Can’t You See,” “Take the Highway,” and “Fire On the Mountain.” The Marshall Tucker Band’s use of instruments like flutes and saxophones, along with their fusion of rock instrumentation and country melodies, truly set them apart from other Southern rock bands.

“Continuing with this great tradition that began 12 years ago when I first took office, I am very pleased to announce that we have secured The Marshall Tucker Band as the headline act for next year’s 4th of July Celebration,” stated Supervisor Reilich. “Since its inception, attendance at this event has grown to over 13,000 people coming to our beautiful Town Hall campus to enjoy the bands and festivities, with many thousands more watching our amazing fireworks display from the surrounding neighborhoods.”

“Our July 4th concert and fireworks show has become the highlight of all the community events we host for the enjoyment of the residents of Greece, and I anticipate this event to continue for many years to come,” Supervisor Reilich concluded.

The annual Town of Greece Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration includes the Freedom Run 5k, Kids Fun Run, games, food trucks, a concert, and one of the best fireworks displays in Monroe County and beyond.
