Ten year old swimmer breaks club records
Elizabeth Kidder is a 10-year-old competitive swimmer with the Hilton Area Swim Team (HAST) coached by Darwin Snow, the team’s head coach. She competed in the 2013 Niagara Short Course Championship meet March 15 through 18, swimming in seven events and finishing with five first place and two second place finishes. She swam seven best times 500FR 5:53.44, 200 FR 2:13.36, 100FR 1:02.23, 50FR 28.11, 100BK 1:12.24 and 50BK 33.47, which broke seven club records. Elizabeth was awarded seven medals and the 2013 Niagara Short Course Championships High Point trophy for the 10 and Under Girls.
As a result of her hard work, she has been selected to join the Niagara LSC Zone team. The Niagara Zone team recently competed against eight other LSCs from the Eastern Zone, which includes the New England area down to Virginia. The Eastern Zone Short Course Age Group Championships were held at the Webster Aquatic Center on March 28 to 30.
