New student club at Brockport Oliver Middle School

Brockport Lions Club members met with OMS students to charter a new Leo Club and install officers. During the ceremony on April 11, five Lion sponsors welcomed the new student members by pinning them with the Lions lapel pin and officers were installed. Members signed the charter as parents and OMS Assistant Principal Bob Blake, Principal Melody Martinez-Davis and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lesli C. Myers looked on. The Leo Club president was presented with a gavel and block, club banner, and charter. The festivities concluded with a pizza party.

A Leo Club, for students up to age 18, is sponsored by a parent Lions Club and does fundraising events in the community similar to the Lions whose primary focus is service to the blind and visually impaired.
