On June 7, at the Delta Sonic on West Ridge Road in Greece, Elaine Rallo of Corporate Fundraising for Delta Sonic surprised Erin Spicer of Greece, a cancer patient, with the news of a benefit campaign in her honor. Prayers for Erin is a collaborative gift of family, friends and community. The benefit kicked off Memorial Day weekend and continues through Labor Day.
Erin was 39 years old when diagnosed in February 2012 with colon cancer. She and her husband, Steve, have two sons, Kevin, 21, and Ryan 17. Due to the nature of her illness, over the past year she has only been able to work briefly between surgeries and she misses her regular customers at Wegmans on Mt. Read, and co-workers very much. Today she continues to be in good spirits during this difficult battle and friends say her faith is truly amazing.
