The Town of Sweden is celebrating its 200th birthday in 2014. As part of its celebration, the town is gathering war-time love stories of Sweden/Brockport residents who served in World War I, World War II, Korean, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf War and the current conflicts. The stories will be shared in the town newsletter, the “Snapshots,” and some may be selected for use in a theatrical production.
Residents willing to share their own war-time love stories or those of their parent/grandparents should submit a short description to the Sweden Bicentennial Committee, 18 State Street, Brockport, NY 14420, email it to leisas@townofsweden.org or call the Town Hall at 637-7588. Include a contact person and phone number.
