The 5th Annual Clarkson Classic 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Clarkson Historical Society, will be held in conjunction with the Clarkson Good Neighbor Days Festival on Saturday, August 24. The race starts promptly at 9 a.m., at Hafner Park, Lake Road North in Clarkson (1/4 mile north of Route 104 on Route 19). This flat USATF certified course winds through residential neighborhoods. The race has become a great community event and loads of fun, now with a Kids Fun Run after the race and all around great friendly camaraderie. Neighbors – if you’re not participating, come out and show your support. Be prepared for the traditional Cannon Start.
Register online or print an entry form at www.clarksonny.org or by stopping at the Clarkson Town Hall or mail to: Clarkson Historical Society, P.O. Box 600, Clarkson, NY 14430. Pre-registration (postmarked by August 21) is $16 and $12 for student athletes. All registrations after August 21 will be $20. Checks should be payable to: Clarkson Historical Society. The first 150 entrants will receive a T-shirt and prizes will be awarded to the top three in each age group.
