Rose Garden’s Tom Sardou elected Bowling Proprietors Association president
Rose Garden Bowl proprietor Tom Sardou was elected president of the New York State Bowling Proprietors Association at the 2013 annual meeting held at the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen. Sardou will serve a two-year term.
The Bergen resident has served the association for many years in various capacities. He has also served as president of the Greater Rochester Area Bowling Proprietors Association and was instrumental in rallying the GRABPA proprietors and bowlers to defeat a proposed sales tax on bowling in 2009.
Sardou is a director for the Rochester USBC and was recently inducted into the Rochester USBC Hall of Fame in the Meritorious Service Category.
The NYS Bowling Proprietors Association, headquartered in Albany, provides its nearly 200 commercial bowling center members representing 4500 lane beds, business and educational seminars, tournaments and legislative representation. Their mission is to enhance the profitability of its members and raise the awareness of bowling as America’s top-ranked participatory sport.
