More than one hundred people got a first glimpse of the renovated second floor of Strong West in Brockport during an open house, Saturday, May 30.
The second floor of the former Lakeside Hospital is now home to the Wilmot Cancer Institute, Interlakes Oncology and Hematology and Brockport Medical Associates, a primary care provider. The offices were formerly housed on the ground floor of the Strong West complex.
Clarkson Town Councilperson Jackie Smith said she was very pleased with the renovation, which increases floor space for both offices.
“It’s a wonderful addition to the community,” she said, and noted that URMC/Strong West has “built a partnership with the community. They give back to the community and are willing to do whatever is needed. It’s a great opportunity for everyone.”
The two offices were scheduled to open at the new second floor location June 1.
