Hilton High School Senior Marielle Caster has been recognized by the Hilton VFW Auxiliary Post #4658 for her submission to the Young American Creative Patriotic Art Awards. The contest is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary for students in grades 9 through 12.
Marielle’s submission titled, “International American” expresses America’s diversity. Though Marielle did not receive an award in the contest, Cheryl Bilski, junior vice president of the Hilton VFW Auxiliary Post, presented Marielle with a certificate of appreciation for her artwork at the Hilton High School Art Show opening reception on May 18.
Joining her at the ceremony were Vice President Joyce King and Treasurer Patty Elliott. Marielle is the daughter of Daniel and Christine Caster of Rochester.
