The Women’s Council, a Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce affiliate, has issued a call for nominations for the 2017 ATHENA and ATHENA Young Professional Awards. The Women’s Council plans to present the awards, which recognize and empower women in business, at its 31st annual ATHENA Awards luncheon January 19, 2017.
The ATHENA Award is given annually by the Women’s Council to a professional female leader who has demonstrated significant achievements in business, community service and the professional advancement of women.
The ATHENA Young Professional Award recognizes emerging female leaders in the 30 to 45 year old range who demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession. Recipients also provide valuable service by contributing time and energy to improve the quality of life of others in the community while serving as a role model for young women both personally and professionally.
To nominate a distinguished woman business leader for the ATHENA Award or an outstanding emerging professional woman for the ATHENA Young Professional Award, visit the Women’s Council website at www.ROCWomensCouncil.org. Only online submissions will be accepted. The nomination deadline is September 30.
