Hamlin Lions to provide eye screening for children

On Monday, March 13, the Hamlin Lions Club will conduct a free vision screening for children from ages six months to six years at the Hamlin Public Library at 11 a.m.  This eye screening will be able to detect potential issues such as near and far sightedness, blurred vision, unequal refractive power, eye misalignment, and astigmatism.

A handheld portable designed to detect vision issues will screen both eyes from a distance of approximately three feet.  Nothing touches the eyes and no eye drops are needed. If a problem is detected, parents will receive a detailed report which can be shared with an eye care professional.

For more information, call the Hamlin Public Library at 964-2320.
