The Town of Sweden has been notified that it will receive $80,000 in grant funding for a Splash Pad at the Sweden Town Park, Redman Road. In more good news, a donor has committed $80,000 in matching funds to the project. The Splash Pad will be located close to the existing playground at the park and contiguous with the new playground scheduled to be constructed this fall.
The Sweden Community Foundation is engaged in raising additional monies to fund the project. Anyone wishing to contribute to the Splash Pad may send a check to the Sweden Community Foundation, 18 State Street, Brockport, NY 14420. Contributions to the Sweden Community Foundation are tax deductible. The Town of Sweden plans to install the Splash Pad in the Spring of 2019. For more information, call 637-7588.
