The Village of Brockport, with the assistance of the Comprehensive Planning Committee, is in the beginning of a year-long planning process, led by Ingalls Planning, to update their comprehensive plan. Right now, they are in an information gathering stage to ascertain what the community is thinking about issues and opportunities facing the village.
The community is invited to attend an open house on September 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Brockport Village Court, 49 State Street, Brockport. This will be an informal drop-in style open house with vision boards, places to identify issues, opportunities and assets, and stations with laptops or tablets for electronic surveys. There will also be the opportunity for informal conversation with the planners and committee members.
There will be additional opportunities for public input as the village moves forward. Information gathered will inform the conversation and resulting plan. The final report/recommendation from Ingalls Planning will be made public.
