Legacy communities partner with local Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts of Western New York and the Legacy family of retirement communities have announced a partnership with Watermark for Kids and local Girl Scouts. Troops and girls are looking forward to a variety of intergenerational programs at the nine Legacy retirement communities in the Rochester area, including working together on community service projects, learning and growing through resident programs and activities, and creating fundraisers around the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

With an initial gift of $4,500 to Girl Scouts of Western New York, Watermark for Kids is investing in girls in four key ways – the Girl Scout Gold Award, After-School Troops, Girl Scout Camp and Girl Scout Opportunity Funding – all of which are crucial to helping girls in the Rochester community thrive. Future investments by Watermark for Kids will award funding to troops and individual Girl Scouts for community service and programming.
