The Sweden Senior Association, Inc. (SSAI) will be holding their second annual Soup Bowl at the Sweden/Clarkson Recreation Center, 4927 Lake Road South, Brockport, on Saturday, January 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The SSAI proceeds will help support an annual scholarship to a Brockport High School senior, and benefit member programs that help those in need at area hospitals, battered women’s shelters, nursing homes, foreign countries, and our local clothing shelf.
Once again, local eateries are donating their delicious signature soups to be sampled and those attending will vote on their favorite flavored soup.
Senior vendors will also showcase and sell a variety of baked foods, creations from knitters, quilters, and the Dress Around the World program.
Tickets cost $5 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be available at the door. Contact Joe Kincaid at 585-431-0088, Sweden Clarkson Recreation Center for information.
