Gates-Chili Chamber seeks nominations for awards
The Gates-Chili Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its annual community awards. Awards will be given out at the Gates Chili Chamber of Commerce 34th Annual Community Awards Gala on Tuesday, May 21, at the Italian American Community Center, 50 Frank DiMino Way.
The Beautification Award recognizes an individual or organization for new construction or restoration of existing facilities to enhance the area.
The Joseph Entress Memorial Award for Economic Development recognizes someone for on-going improvement, encouraging continued economic development in the area.
The Innovative Business Award recognizes a recent addition to the business community that has stimulated economic growth and commerce.
The Culture and Arts Award recognizes someone who has strengthened the understanding, appreciation and support of art and culture.
The Outstanding Citizen Award recognizes an individual who has contributed to the betterment of the community.
The Loretta Simmons Women’s Leadership Award is given to a woman who owns or is a leader in business.
The Youth Leadership Award acknowledges a youth group or individual (21 years or under) who lives, attends school or works in the Gates or Chili area who has given service and leadership to others in the community on a volunteer basis and serves as a role model among their peers.
The Dream Big Award is the chamber’s small business of the year award. This award embodies the Spirit of Innovation – they often start small but dream big. The winner is recognized for the example they set and the enormous contribution they make to our area’s economy.
