Clarkson Historical Society hosts presentation on history of Seneca Park Zoo
The Seneca Park Zoo has a distinguished history, and has undergone many changes since it’s founding in 1893. Once a showcase for “exotic” animals, today’s zoo is much more: A center for animal conservation and education. Kelly Ulrich, Director of Education and Visitor Studies for the Seneca Park Zoo Society will share the zoo’s story from the past to the present with a glimpse into the future.
Ulrich has 18 years of experience working in AZA-accredited zoos and has a passion for connecting people with the natural world.
The presentation will be held Wednesday, March 6, at 7 p.m. at the Clarkson Historical Society Academy building, 8343 Ridge Road, Clarkson. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
