These figures mean we can control the virus. How do we Un-Pause – control the rate of infection, we test and trace.
Returning to a new normal. We must decide what businesses are essential and how these businesses can be safer. We must re-imagine the workplace – how to social distance in the workplace.
Testing needs to expand. We need to strengthen our healthcare system.
We will be sending 100 ventilators to New Jersey.
Our key to recovery is to not increase the rate of infection. New York Pause has worked, but we are not there yet. We must continue doing what we are doing. We must wear a mask, a simple measure that will save lives. Everyone in public places must wear a mask effective Friday, April 17 at 8PM.
New York Pause is extended through May 15th.
What can you do? Wear a mask, wash hands, maintain social distance, educate your children, use hand sanitizer and make smart choices.
New Yorkers will do the right thing.
