The announcement of the winners for the seventh annual Orleans County Heritage Heroes Award has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Heritage Heroes Awards recognize the passion and hard work of dedicated citizens in Orleans County who strive to protect and preserve local history. The selection process for this year’s program was in its final stages when the pandemic unfolded. As a result, the selection process will resume at the beginning of July, and awardees will be announced by July 15, 2020. All previous submissions of nominees for this year remain in consideration.
An awards ceremony recognizing this year’s Heritage Heroes will be scheduled for mid-September at Genesee Community College in Albion.
