Hilton Fire Department Carnival canceled

It is with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of the 119th Annual Hilton Fire Department Carnival that was planned for July 15 through 18, 2020. The number one priority of the Hilton Fire Department is the safety of our members, our community, and its citizens. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the amount of advanced planning and purchasing required to run this event, we feel it is not prudent to attempt an event of this size in 2020.

We did not take this decision lightly, as we are painfully aware that this is a huge fundraising event, not only for the Hilton Fire Department, but for other local businesses and nonprofit organizations as well. We are currently exploring other fundraising ideas such as a fund drive or another fundraising event later this year.

This is a very difficult financial time for many people, businesses, and other organizations. We ask that you continue to support the 100 percent Volunteer Hilton Fire Department in any way you can. We are always seeking dedicated, hardworking individuals looking to serve their community. Should you be in a position to financially support HFD, you may make a tax-deductible donation electronically via our website at http://hiltonfd.org/donate.html or by mailing a check (payable to Hilton Fire Department) to 120 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton, NY 14468.

Rest assured throughout these difficult times we have been and will continue to provide the highest level of professional service to the residents, businesses, and visitors of our District. Our members remain ready to serve you.

We look forward to seeing everyone for the 2021 Hilton Fire Department Carnival.

Please stay safe!
