Sweden to host primary voting at park lodge
Town of Sweden residents voting in the upcoming primary/special election will be able to vote at the Sweden Town Park Lodge, 4761 Redman, on election day, June 23, and on all early voting dates prior to June 23.
There are three elections being held on June 23: Presidential primary for the Democratic party; primaries for various positions on the Democratic, Republican, Working Families, Green, Libertarian, Independence and SAM parties; and the 27th Congressional District Special Election.
On Election Day, June 23, voters from all 12 of Sweden’s election districts will vote at the park lodge. During early voting, voters may vote at any early voting site in Monroe County. Voting hours on June 23 are from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Early voting hours are as follows:
•Saturday, June 13, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
•Sunday, June 14, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
•Monday, June 15, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
•Tuesday, June 16, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
•Wednesday, June 17, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
•Thursday, June 18, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
•Friday, June 19, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
•Saturday, June 20, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
•Sunday, June 21, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Sweden Park Lodge was chosen as a voting site for several reasons: it has ample room to allow social distancing; it separates voting activities from staff at other town facilities; it has ample parking and is easily accessible.
