Paving work underway along Route 31A in Orleans County
The New York State Department of Transportation began paving activities last week in Orleans County to resurface nearly ten miles of roadway between Route 63 and Route 98. The roadwork is expected to last until mid-August.
During this time, two-way traffic will be maintained using alternating single-lane closures. Motorists may encounter short delays and are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
All construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
