Shortly after September 1, the Sweden Highway Department will be rebuilding a portion of the Sweden Town Park Road from approximately the Lodge southward to the Skate Park parking lot. The Town waited until after “Splash Pad season” to begin the work in order to minimize disruption.
The construction work will be an inconvenience to playground, skate park, soccer field, and dog park users but repairs to the seriously deteriorating road will be beneficial to all once completed. Drivers will be directed to park in alternate locations during construction. Park visitors with questions about accessibility during construction should call the highway garage at 637-3369 or park staff at 269-4364 or 329-5848.
