Monroe County 4-H offers “Painting with Soil”

Monroe County 4-H is offering “Painting with Soil,” an online workshop on Monday, September 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Register to learn about one of our most important natural resources, soil. The many properties of soils bring beauty and color to our landscape, and serve as an important layer on our planet to provide habitat and nutrients for many organisms. Painting with the colors and textures of soil is a fascinating and a creative activity for all ages. This event is free of charge due to the generous support of the Genesee Finger Lakes Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association. Registered participants can pick up a soil painting kit, containing resources needed to participate in the workshop, at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County Office, 2449 St. Paul Boulevard, Rochester, anytime during the week prior to this event. The workshop is limited to the first 30 registrants. Register by Monday, September 14, at https://bit.ly/33ffyqf. If you are unable to register because the maximum attendance has been reached, contact Lori Koenick at lbk75@cornell.edu to be placed on a waiting list in order to gauge interest in adding another workshop.
