The Robert Dean Chorale is still singing
The Robert Dean Chorale is a local volunteer chorus of more than forty active members directed by Darla Bair. The group misses singing live, just as many miss sitting in an audience for a live performance. The applause, the smiles, and the energy of the performance hall have to wait, but the singing continues through a new project.
The group is currently recording and filming a YouTube arrangement of eight beloved Christmas songs, woven into a medley by Bair, called “The Healing Love of Christmas: a Medley of Carols.” Accompanied by flute, viola, and piano, this 11-minute video will be posted in time for all to enjoy during the holidays. In addition, the group is gifting the rights to use the video in homes, businesses, and church services throughout the month of December.
Donations are sought to help support the group’s efforts to create beauty during the pandemic. While any amount is appreciated, businesses, groups, or individuals who donate $100 or more to help finance the project will be listed in the credits of the video as a sponsor.
