On Thursday October 30, Empire Spectrum insurance group President Peter Feltner of The Feltner Group, in Spencerport, presented Eagle Star Housing with a donation of $1,000 on behalf of Empire Spectrum and NYCM Insurance to help support homeless veterans in New York State. The funds will be used to help further the programming for homeless veterans and purchase much needed supplies and equipment for the program.
Eagle Star Housing has provided over 960 homeless veterans with over 81,000 nights of safe housing since opening its doors in 2012. It operates transitional housing programs in Spencerport, East Pembroke, and Farmington. Eagle Star is also developing new apartment buildings in Batavia and Rochester that will have a combined 48 designated apartments for homeless veterans with full support services.
