The Sweden Town Board has appointed Scott Maar to serve on the Seymour Library Board of Trustees. Mr. Maar is a life-long resident of Sweden and will serve a term that expires December 31, 2024. On November 10, Sweden approved a new Seymour Library Memorandum of Understanding for the operation of the library. The Village of Brockport and Town of Clarkson also approved the MOU at their respective meetings. The library board’s approval remains to be done. Additionally, at the October 27 Sweden Town Board meeting, the Board authorized the transfer of $12,000 to the Seymour Library Reserve, a fund established to finance periodic major repairs to the Seymour Library property on East Avenue.
