Chili church starts online book discussion group

The First Presbyterian Church of Chili has a Little Free Library that was built last summer and dedicated in memory of Mel Olver, a faithful member of the congregation and an avid reader. When the library went into service, the church Deacons also started an online book club to discuss books with one another.  They have enjoyed sharing favorite novels and are now inviting community members to be a part of their club that meets once a month using the Zoom video conferencing program.

At the next meeting, on Wednesday, February 24, at 7 p.m., the group will be discussing The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. To participate in this group, call church secretary Sandra McCauley at 889-9896. She will provide information on the latest books the group is reading and what date and time the club will be meeting.

Some instruction is available for those unfamiliar with Zoom, which can be used on a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
