4-H Healthy Living Expo for teens

Life has been challenging over the past year with the changes and adjustments that have been brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. These changes have been even harder on teens across the country, already dealing with the confusing changes that their bodies and minds are going through, on top of having to socially distance themselves from their closest friends and continue their school studies through remote learning. During these crucial growing times in their lives when teenagers are supposed to be out making new friends and experimenting with what the world has to offer, it is more important than ever to ensure that young adults receive the nourishment they need to rejuvenate both their bodies and their minds.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County (CCE-Monroe) 4-H Youth Development Program will be holding a virtual workshop on Wednesday, March 24, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The purpose of this workshop is to educate teens on how to practice daily healthy habits in both their body and mind while they continue to navigate during these times of social distancing from their friends and classmates. The seminar welcomes and encourages 4-H youth ages 12 to 18.

The event will feature presenters and career panelists who will engage teens with the benefits of healthy eating and physical activity.

This event will be held virtually via Zoom. Registration is free and available at https://bit.ly/3qxhALZ.
