Canandaigua National Bank & Trust (CNB) will be hosting a Community Shred Day on Saturday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Greece-Latta & Long Pond Bank Office, 3204 Latta Road, Rochester. The event offers complimentary shredding services with a secure provider.
Those who would like to use this service can simply collect the documents they would like to have securely disposed of and bring them to CNB the day of the event. Remember to consult retention guidelines before disposing of a document. Masks are required and participants are asked to remain in their vehicle throughout the drop off and shredding process. There is a limit of 10 boxes or bags per vehicle.
A CNB security expert will also be available on site to provide education and advice on how to prevent identity theft. CNB has helped to recycle 489,382 pounds or 244.69 tons of paper since the initial launch of Community Shred Days in 2013.
