Injustice in Ogden

Please help us draw attention to what is going on in Ogden. Judge Murante has a personal vendetta against a local resident, Jeremy Wolf for all he is doing to try to either get his dog home or get her to safety at a sanctuary. The judge should not have been involved in the case to begin with because of his relationship with the plaintiff. The alleged victim of a dog bite that occurred on July 7, 2020 is the wife is a zoning board member in Ogden, Jared Hirt. The incident involved two dogs and the victim was not able to identify which dog bit her. She testified as such. From the start, the Victorian husband has attempted to use his position as a member of the town board and his relationship with the prosecutor and judge to have the dog euthanized. However, a Monroe County court of appeals overturned this disposition and said euthanasia was not appropriate. The dog has no bite history in the 4 yrs she was a licensed dog in Ogden.

Since the case was returned to the same Ogden Judge Murante who wanted to have her euthanized, he has post phoned the court date three times, prosecutor Keith O’Toole filed a petition asking the court to reconsider euthanasia even after being corrected by a higher court and the judge has decided to personally drive to the sanctuary Jeremy wants Vanessa sent to I order to try to find a reason to either send her somewhere else further away or do anything other than be reasonable and impartial.

The state comptrollers office also recently did an audit and specifically mentioned that the Ogden town court, specifically Jusge Murant and Schiano were not doing things properly.

Someone needs to step in here. No resident should have the amount of legal fees Jeremy does to try to get his dog to safety specially over something that was an accident. The jogger was not mauled, she had 18 stitches in the back of her knee and was not able to say which dog did it. A similiar incident occurred at the same time in a neighborhood close by with a German Shepard biting a jogger. That jogger had less stitches but it was the same kind of accident which can happen in rural areas with dogs (although Vanessa was leashes and on her own property). That owner was allowed to install a trolley system thst the dog must be on and wear a muzzle when outside. The dog was never seized and didn’t spend 9 months at an undisclosed location being denied medical attention and socialization.

But that dog didn’t bite the wife of a zoning board member!
Enough is enough! Send Vanessa home with a trolley system and muzzle and be done with this!
