Do I feel sympathy for the woman who was bitten, Yes. But the unjustified fiasco that has occurred since then is inexcusable; starting out with Town of Ogden Judge Murante refusing to do “the right thing” by sending this trial to another jurisdiction. Time and time again the “irregularities” that have occurred under Judge Murante’s rule are beyond shameful and subject to question by the Commission on Judicial Conduct. The conduct of Judge Murante has been abominable throughout. He apparently considers himself above the law…and engaging in multiple Ex-Parte communications with Town of Ogden Zoning Board Chair and his wife…the person who was bitten..is just one example of when he has proven himself to be a dreadful example of what a Judge should be. I hope when the next elections come along the residents of Ogden do not reelect this man who is a disgrace to the judicial community.
