I have been involved in dog rescue for over 20 years, and have dealt with many different breeds and dogs coming from all different situations. The simple fact of this case is that even if Vanessa did cause the injury, which is not proven, it’s 1 bite, with absolutely no documented history of prior issues or concerns. Any dog can bite. One bite, and a dog is being ordered to be euthanized. It just doesn’t make any sense to me how this town can be ordering dogs to be euthanized for 1 bite. I live and am a tax payer here in Ogden, and have wonderful dogs and fosters, and am completely disgusted and embarrassed with how this is being handled. Vanessa never should have been taken away from Jeremy in the first place, and then for this to drag on for 10 months, and Ogden still refuses to release her after a higher court vacated their Euthansia order. All for 1 bite on her leg. For a dog she wasn’t able to identify. Our town needs Vanessa to be sent home and prayers for her family and for her for all that she has suffered and endured away from her home the past 10 months. And this town needs change. Read the transcripts. Look at the data. Something isn’t right. Every single Ogden resident, that is also a dog owner needs to pay attention to what is going on in our town. Especially if you own a Bully type breed. Our dogs aren’t safe. Send Vanessa home!!
