After much thought and consideration, the Hilton Apple Fest Board of Directors came to the conclusion that they would have to postpone the Apple Fest until 2022. The New York State regulations for fairs and entertainment are to protect our attendees, vendors, and the community. It would be difficult to maintain social distancing, the sanitization requirements, and other guidelines. Many people are disappointed as well as the Apple Fest Committee.
The committee will be focusing on alternative ways to keep the community engaged. The first is a drive-through barbecue dinner on May 22, located at the Hilton Community Center and working with Texas Bar-B-Q Joint. Tickets may be purchased by calling 392-7773 and leaving a message. Dinners include pulled pork, chopped brisket, macaroni and cheese, salt potatoes, corn muffin, and beverage. The cost is $15.
Thank you to everyone who supports the Apple Fest tradition – and the entire community – each year. We look forward to a safe and healthful festival in 2022.
