I would w courage everyone to watch the documentary “The Champions” to educate yourselves about how the gross wide-spread misinformation about pit bulls began. What is happening to “pit bull type dogs” – being that a “pit bull” is not even a real dog breed, it is a series of breeds illogically grouped together – is canine racism. We can and HAVE to do better regarding ignorant blind hatred in this country, and the discrimination against pit bulls is no different. Additionally, we cannot allow uneducated, unkind people to get away with making whatever claims they want regarding whatever issue they want simply because of who they’re married to or affiliated with. The woman who led this horrific campaign of cruelty should have a hard time looking at herself in the mirror after the suffering she brought to an innocent being and an entire family, but I’d imagine that she doesn’t. I hope we see a world where people like this change and do better.
