Freedom

As a mother of 3, who works full time as a critical care RN, I am quite familiar with the term empathy. However, I am also familiar with the fact that we live in a world that overall lacks empathy. It seems for many it is much easier to become jaded and self serving, shutting out the old adage, to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Vanessa is a resilient animal, who suffered at the hands of humans the majority of her life, before finding love and refuge in the kindness and understanding heart of Jeremy. Now, once again, injustice has found it’s way back into Vanessa’s life, and she once again is suffering due to the negligence and cold hearted decisions made by humans. If a society cannot grasp empathy for a creature dependent on humans to provide and care for them, understand their trauma, and have faith in second chances, then how can there be any hope for the future of mankind as a whole? Vanessa deserves to be back in the loving and understanding home of Jeremy. There is no place for narcissistic tendencies when deciding the fate of a life. Whether a life has 2 legs, or 4 legs, it is still a life, and no man should deem himself worthy of making God like decisions, based on biased, thoughtless opinions. Free Vanessa.
