Colby Pulver House reopening
The Ogden Historical Society will reopen the Colby Pulver House and Barn, 568 Colby Street, Spencerport, to the public this year. Masks and social distancing are required for all programs and tours.
The Victorian Parlor has been transformed to represent an important event in Ogden’s history. A new exhibit dedicated to children has also been staged. Inside the barn, visitors will see some of the tools of the trades that built Ogden. All tours are by appointment only.
Wednesday evening presentations are returning with a new series called “Our History – A conversation with the archives.” Programs start at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are required, and seats are limited to nine. Topics for the month of June are:
•June 2 – Memorial Day and the GAR with Ginny Parker
•June 9 – Civil War Medicine with Joel Emerson, GCC Professor Emeritus
•June 16 – Women in the Civil War with Joel Emerson, GCC Professor Emeritus
•June 23 – A Soldiers Story: Ira Harroun with Ginny Parker
