The Town of Sweden Splash Pad opened Saturday, May 22, a week earlier than the traditional Memorial Day Weekend. “With our early spring and hard work from our park crew, we’re happy to be able to get all of our park amenities open ahead of schedule this year,” said Councilperson Gary Sullivan, liaison to the park department.
The park concession stand is operating during the baseball season and the first under-the-lights soccer games have been played. The Lodge is averaging three events per week; the dog park, skatepark, and disc golf course are busy with residents enjoying outdoor recreation.
The Sweden Town Park is located at 4761 Redman Road and is open from dawn to dusk. The Splash Pad hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. For information about park facilities and rules visit www.townofsweden.com.
