Justice for Vanessa
I am a dog lover! I have sn Instagram account for my mini-dachshund which is how I discovered beautiful Vanessa. I was appalled by the way she was treated by the Town Board of Ogden, NY. She was subjected to horrific treatment; not allowed to see her family; not provided exercise or medication; and threatened with death. All this even though there was no positive identification that she was the dog who bit the accuser. After nearly a year, with protests against her treatment, from all over this country and the world, Vanessa was released to a remarkable facility, Agsinst All Oddz, where she is thriving. The hope is that she will be fully rehabilitated from her year of terror, and be reunited with her family. My hopes and prayers are that this type of breed bias will end; and that the Town of Ogden will change its leadership and follow laws established elsewhere in New York in the future. No animal should be treated in this manner. No family should suffer in this way due to breed bias. Life is too short and too many REAL problems exist in this country for all this time, money and resources to be spent over a ten month period to free a sweet, innocent family pet.
Thank you!
