The Lake/Redman/Countryview Water District in the Town of Sweden is ahead of schedule, nearing the half-way mark in early June. The substantial completion date is not due until November 1. All water main has been installed, tested, and disinfected along Redman Road and Countryview Terrace. Those two roads are being rock-hounded and stabilized. Redman and Countryview have also been fully restored except in areas that require water service installation.
Watermain installation on Lake Road has made it past Beadle Road. Water services for the entire project are on back order. If those items were readily available, residents would already have running water on Redman and Countryview. Sweden Supervisor Kevin Johnson holds monthly progress meetings with the contractor, engineer, Rural Development, and the Monroe County Water Authority. The next progress meeting is scheduled for July 6.
