Chris Wilson to perform in Brockport August 19
Chris Wilson, one of the Summer Serenades attendees’ all time favorites, returns to the Brockport Welcome Center, 11 Water Street, for a 6:30 to 8 p.m. performance on Thursday, August 19. Throughout the pandemic, music lovers have listened to his twice-weekly live broadcasts from The Barn. Now they will be able to see and hear Chris live at the canal side venue.
The singer/songwriter’s highly acclaimed and most recent album, “One Hallelujah,” pairs his trademark intimate songs and soaring vocals with some of the finest musicians in the world. See https://www.chriswilson.us for more information about his work and links to recordings and his mailing list.
As always, Summer Serenades provides excellent music in a casual atmosphere with a view that includes passing and docked boats and pedestrians on the path across the canal. No tickets required – it’s free. Bring lawn chairs and arrive early if you can for the best viewing and listening spots.
This event is sponsored by the Bixler family in memory of Jennifer Schlecht and Abay Schlecht Tedla who enjoyed Chris’s music.
In case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Main and State Streets. Information will be posted on the Village web site www.brockportny.org or call 637-5300 ext.110.
