Ann Mitchell will be performing Songs of Burt Bacharach on Saturday, September 25, 7:30 p.m., at the Rochester Music Hall of Fame, 25 Gibbs Street, Rochester. The performance is part of the 2021 KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival, which runs September 14 through 25. Tickets are $15 at rochesterfringe.com, where more information is also available. Spencerport resident and jazz vocalist Ann Mitchell is back at Fringe ready to entertain audiences for the sixth time performing the unique classics of Grammy Award winning composer, Burt Bacharach. She’ll serenade the audience with the top hits like: “The Look of Love,” “I Say A Little Prayer,” and more. Ann will be joined by John Palocy on piano, David Pinto on bass, Isaac Schwartz on drums, and Ralph DeBergalis on guitar.
Songs of Burt Bacharach is a one night only engagement. Ann said, “I wanted to create a musical showcase around Bacharach’s top musical hits because it is stylistically unique and rarely performed.”
Ann debuted at the KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival in 2016 with A Tribute to Peggy Lee, which was selected on Jack Garner’s “Winner’s List.” Ann continued with yearly music tribute shows including: JUDY!, A Song Is Born, and The Fabulous Females and also branched off with the historical enactment of Suffragettes Unite! She currently heads up her own group, Ann Mitchell Jazz, and specializes in the rich vocals of timeless classics that span the jazz era from the 1930s to the 1950s with energy and heart.
